Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Ladybug App — a digital nutrition platform designed to help you monitor nutrient intake, log meals, track progress, and discover nutrition tips and recipes tailored to women over 40. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Ladybug App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Purpose & Medical Disclaimer
The app is intended for informational and nutritional purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding any health concerns.
Using this app does not create any patient–practitioner relationship. The app provides general wellness information only, not individual diagnosis or treatment.
3. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for entering accurate personal data (e.g., weight, height, preferences).
 - You may not use the app in any manner that violates laws, regulations, or these terms.
 - You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
 
4. Subscriptions & Billing
General. Access to premium features in Ladybug App is subscription-based. Depending on how you subscribed, your billing and account management are handled either through our secure web portal (Stripe) or through Apple's App Store.
A. If You Registered or Subscribed on Our Website
- Payment processing. Website subscriptions are securely processed by Stripe.
 - Managing your plan. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel by selecting Manage Account in the app. We will send you a secure billing link by email that opens your personal Stripe Customer Portal.
 - Account deletion. If you created your account on our website, you can delete your account and subscription in the same place by pressing Delete Account in the app (or through the Stripe Customer Portal).
 - Renewal. Website subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the next billing date.
 - Free trials. From time to time we may offer free trials that provide temporary access to paid features at no charge for the stated period.
 - Changing plans during a free trial. If you switch plans during a free trial, the change takes effect immediately, your remaining trial is forfeited, and the first charge for the new plan is due right away. If you wish to keep your full trial, wait until the trial ends before changing plans.
 - Refunds. We do not prorate or refund partial periods unless required by law.
 
B. If You Subscribed via Apple (In-App Purchase)
- Payment processing. iOS subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not collect or store your payment information for these purchases.
 - Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel in your device settings: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Ladybug App. Changes and cancellations take effect according to Apple's App Store terms.
 - Free trials. Any free trials associated with App Store purchases are provided and governed by Apple's terms.
 - Refunds. For App Store purchases, request refunds from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
 
C. When Cancellation Takes Effect
For both website and Apple subscriptions, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until that date.
5. Right of Withdrawal (EU/UK consumers)
If you reside in the EU or the UK, you generally have a 14‑day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason. When you subscribe, we ask for your express request to start the service immediately and your acknowledgment that, once full access begins, you lose your withdrawal right for that billing period.
If you have not yet accessed paid features, you may withdraw within 14 days from purchase by contacting us at ladybug@ladybugapp.net. We will refund any fees paid for that period. Your ongoing right to cancel renewal at any time remains unaffected.
6. Content & Intellectual Property
All content, including recipes, tips, graphics, and icons, is owned by or licensed to Ladybug App. You may use content only for your personal, non‑commercial use within the app. You may not copy, redistribute, or reuse content outside of personal app use without permission.
7. User Content
If you submit any content (e.g., custom meals), you retain ownership, but grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for app functionality.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
 - You may delete your account at any time in-app (Manage Account → Delete my account) or by request via email.
 
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability
The Ladybug App provides content "as‑is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any specific health results. You agree that your use of the app is at your sole risk. Ladybug App is not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on app content, nor for user decisions or behaviors outside the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the app.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary and applicable European Union law. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected. Any legal claims will be handled by the competent courts in Hungary.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. You will be notified of significant changes via email or in-app alerts. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
